The Tipu in natural jute is the most essential piece in the catalogue: one material, one colour, the one nature gives jute without any intervention.
Its texture is rougher than cotton, its touch earthier, its light more filtered and mysterious. At a large scale, the presence of jute becomes architectural. The black frame adds the only note of contrast, giving structure to a piece that is, in every other respect, pure honest material.
